please excuse me if this question is not allowed. but my son Negan just was diagnosed with severe double hip dysplasia- at only 1 year old! he needs surgery sooner than asap. i am trying to save up the money but the estimate is quite steep does anyone know if there is any type of places i can get help from? i’m sure this might be a long shot question, but i’ve exhausted all other options.

as always attaching a picture since he’s the cutest little boy ever

I am sorry to hear of this. We do not allow GoFundMe posts in this community nor the FB group, but you might try doing one in your own personal social media groups.

@Naked Negan , awh hugs, so sad about the diagnosis.
I know others have done gofundme outside SL.
I have a list of some resources thru my dog group I will pm later.

****** also, for me, I would want a second opinion before any surgery for peace of mind. You can ask your vet to email you the diagnostic imaging for your records and share on a second opinion

sharing, their are kitty carts just like they make for dogs which may be an option, you can ask your vet about. I did not do surgery on my pup and went with some non surgery options.

I even found "walking wheels " used on fb marketplace etc like new after talking with my vet about my pup and checking the right size at a fraction of the cost. I know there are loaner groups for carts, rear wheels for all sizes of pups. you could reach out to beth at Gunnars Wheels about their loaner program for a rear cart that they may have for tiny dogs that may work with your baby. I sent her measurements and she checked what they had in stock for my pup. chewy online has some for xsmall breeds of dogs. . just braining storming non surgical option in the meantime while you save for surgery and hopeful get a second opinion.

please keep us updated, following. hugs n positive vibe head smooches
