Can anyone help out with this one please. It’s my kitten, Salem’s first time. Would like to start from scratch first before buying store bought food for here.

Try getting some good knowledge here: StackPath

It’s where I started out. Most important is ratio of meat:bone:eek:rgan and making sure to add a supplement to the food to make sure nothing is missing. I used Alnutrin. Others have used Better in the Raw.

I've used TC feline's updated recipe from the original one: Most popular raw meat cat food And this one from the same site is plastered on my desktop shortcut for comparing my commercial raw one to a "mice" equivalent nutritionally (water affects the ratios, so does any added botanicals or other supplements):

Maybe you already decided on something but in case you haven't, I recommend for beginners to purchase ground meat with bones and organs already mixed in. All you have to do is add water and a supplement (such as Alnutrin for Meat With Bone). Stir and serve or freeze for later.

Online stores:

The first one is in California. The other 2 are on the east coast but in winter they can ship anywhere because the food stays frozen thanks to the cold.

Buy your supplement here:

This is a great resource for all kinds of stuff including making food from scratch. It took me a while to figure out where I could source all the ingredients. It's true about ratios too. That's why I recommended starting with something ready to go. Eventually you'll figure out what works best for you and once you get the hang of it, it's really not a big deal anymore :)
