Looking to adopt after losing my baby girl 9 months ago (Louisiana and willing to travel)

Hello,

I thought I would post in hopes that some day someone comes across it. I took in a 7 year old sphynx from a friend and she became my light and joy for a year and a half, until HCM ultimately forced my hand.

After much consideration, I would like to adopt again. I love sphynx’s because even I am a stage 5 clinger. So if you have one in need of a home where endless attention and treats will be given, I am available and would love to take one (or two!!) in

Thank you so much for your very kind words. She was just sort of given to me and she didn’t even hesitate when she was put in my arms. I transported and cremated her myself (crematory operator) and sometimes it feels like I was picked just because I had the tools and background to help her pass (I only had her for about a year and a half).

It’s been hard and I really debated if I’d be able to go through that kind of loss again but I seem to kind of be made for these cats and I was glad to rescue her, give her probably more attention than she’d ever gotten in her life, and give her a funeral with all the works.

My heart was tender after the sudden loss of my first , Yoda girl. I keep her avatar photo in her honor. I am glad I kept my heart open to sphynxlove and adopted 4 in her honor. No matter the pain when she gained her wings, I would not have missed the journey of sphynxlove for anything in this world.

@Yoda mom she came named Isis but I ended up always calling her Peeper because her eyes were so big and always staring haha. If your loss was anything like mine I know how hard that is. They really are the best cats. I miss her every day and still cry about it. I love the idea of making her my avatar it’s so nice to read about you adopting more and making something tragic nice

. I share bcz I never knew until I adopted 2 yr old retiree Clairebare from a reputable breeder in FL . She came HCM scanned , fully vetted spayed. Her 1st mum and I are friends since my adoption gotcha day. Claire Bare is now 14 1/2. My Batman adoptee at age 2 from a member, turned 15 today!

Hello, I am LeeAnn and live in Brandon, MS (just outside of Jackson). I have a 7 year old male seal point that needs a new home. I am a rescuer and he is unhappy with other cats in my home. I don't want him stressed with day to day life. He is wonderful, very loving, and I just want him to be happy. You can contact me directly at [email protected] for more info. I can provide photos too. He likes to venture into the backyard on occasion and run. He will run back and forth until he tires. He is a wonderful kitty. It breaks my heart to do this but I want what is best for him.
