please let us know what state you are in , willing to travel distance? do you have any furbabies? other nakids? all paws are family, cats , dogs etc.

another option I did was reach out to reputable breeders who HCM scan etc and ask about upcoming retiree list. I adopted a wonderful 2 yr old retiree, came spayed, HCM scanned and more for a fraction of her initial purchase price. her first mum and I are friends for over a decade.. my Claire Bare is now 15 1/2 yrs old.

Ways to help detect fraud & scammers when adopting/buying a cat
NEVER send money via Western Union. If possible - get a cat or kitten that is in driving distance of your home. Most breeders selling kittens or people re-homing or adopting out will communicate no problem via phone, emails or in person. If not - look somewhere else. Visit the breeder’s home if...

We are in Maryland but are willing to travel around 5 hours (and am flexible here!)
We both grew up with various pets (birds, cats, dogs, fish, etc) we currently have a very sweet dog, Mr wiggles who is 5- he sleeps most of the day and prefers the couch! He doesn’t bark and isn’t reactive to animals or people- he loves cuddles and attention!
