Meeka's Eyes (picture, warned)

I have a picture of Meeka's beautiful face, even if she has infected eyes. It is honestly a lot better looking then the 1st pic I received from the person I was adopting her from. She's doing better, opening her eyes more, & exploring the entire house by herself. It looks really bad right now, but the swelling has gone down a bit from two days ago when I brought her home.

My poor baby looks so sad all the time.

Thank you, hun. She's getting playful & chasing after Chester, my ragdoll mix, so she's gotta have some sort of eye sight.. or she's chasing him down just by smell! I'm not sure. But she's coming around thankfully.

It's so strange how she doesn't even act like it phases her! I have to keep an eye on her because she keeps knocking it into things like kid toys, the vacuum, walls.. it's sad, but she acts like it doesn't phase her! It's crazy! I hope once this infection is gone, if her eye doesn't need to be removed, she can still see. That would be the most amazing thing ever.

What the family told me was that she got attacked by the father cat. They said they had rescued her from someone who was breeding cats for quick money but didn't seem to know what they were doing. I believed them, until yesterday I saw a Craigslist ad with their # & more kittens for sale, & I felt a little uncomfortable with it. I think she just got attacked in the eye & it went on for way too long before she got help. It's such a sad sight, she doesn't deserve this.

for money (ONLY) gets caught and serves time in jail and is fined.

Sounds like Meeka is in the best place now and very lucky to have found you. When Alley found me, she already had her eye removed so she's gives everybody her cheeky wink. Fingers crossed Meeka won't need surgery though!

Awe a constant wink sounds adorable when you describe it that way lol. Her swelling is going down so I am pretty confident her eyes will stay intact!

Sometimes I like to think roles are switched, I am lucky to have her in my life ! but thank you so much. Her eye swelling has really gone down significantly in these few days, I was just looking at her today & realized how much of a difference there is. I am so excited for a complete recovery & praying for at least a little bit of sight back!

I know it's totally different but my Manx I have had horrible upper respiratory infection when I got her. She was terribly sick. & the antibiotics & love I gave her brought her back to life so I had high hopes these antibiotics would save her eyes from at least not being removed. & I would probably ask the same question too hehe!
