Hi I have a cat with what looks like what your cat has . I took her to her regular vet often and ended up at a specialist to get her eyes treated . We are still treatring her eyes she only been on her 6 diffrent med for about 2 weeks.
I will give you a suggestion my cat eyes started to look better but then when her meds from her regular vet was gone her eyes would get bad again . If this happens with your cat save your self a lot of worry and money and take her to a specialist .
My cat will be a year old on the 29 of this month , i got her in Dec of 2011 with the eye problems. She has no vesion in one of her eyes and limited vision in the other but she has no problem running and playing with my other cats . But she will be on some meds for the rest of her life (not 6meds) but she will be on 2 .
Are you giving her l-lysine that is one of the thing the eye doctor said to give my cat daily (1000mg) it will not hurt your cat you can order on line or buy it at Wal Mart. I give 500MG in the morning and 500 mg at night.
I wish your baby the best.

The only thing I am giving her now is the antibiotic that the vet gave her. I will be seeing my vet again sometime by the end of the week. I think she was attacked in the eyes to cause this, I certainly hope she doesn't need to be on antibiotics for the rest of her life, I am sorry to hear about your baby. :( but she seems to not be able to see at all. She won't follow my hand unless I am snapping my fingers or making some kind of noise. If they seem to need a specialists care I will try to find one. I just hope the antibiotics take care of the problem. But I will look for the l-lysine for her definitely thank you for your info. :)

I know what your feeling with your cat the worry and stressed from worring .
Did your vet do a herpes test on your cat?
From what the specialist told me that 95% of cat have it some are carriers and may never have signs of it . While others will show signs of it.
I ask because if she has hepes the antibotics will help for a while but herpes is virial and will need anti virials to help with it.
I suggest you talk this over with your vet because you are only going by what you was told and it may or may not be true.
I hope your baby get some of her sight back after treatment is complete.

I will definitely talk to them about that thank you. We will go over what kind of tests she may need & what not to fix the problem as quickly as possible. Thank you for your input I didn't think of herpes.
