Hey Guys!

Got news about Moka but sadly there are no good news :(
When i bought Baby Moka she alrdy had Problems with her right eye but since it didnt seem that bad and since the breeder gave me creams (hope thats the word in english lol) to fix that Problem i took her home with me... Well.... the creams didnt help and Mokas Eye is a mess now
We have an appointment with a vet for Moka tomorrow. He is specialized on Eyes and i hope he can fix Mokas eye soon. Dont want my Kitty to get blind on one eye. she doesnt deserve that :((

Since i dont know the english word for what she has i will post a pic of her eye where you can see the problem.

I'm so sorry Moka is having a rough go of it.
I hope all goes well with the specialist tomorrow and will keep the two of you in my thoughts.
Keep us posted.

Poor Moka :(
Hope the vet will figure out the problem tomorrow and will be able to fix.

The picture is not really clear -- is the eye very watery ? In our case we just had conjunctivitis which was cured in within 2 weeks with the help of some eye drops...

So sorry about your pretty baby. You're right, she certainly does not deserve this. But she has a hero in you and she's extremely fortunate to have you to get her through this, even if she loses the sight in that eye.

Hi Sorry to hear about your baby . I hope the doctor can fix her eye.
I just want to say if her can not be fixed that she will be fine with sight in one eye.
I have a baby (Aurora) that can only see out of one eye and she keeps up with the other cat (3) and plays just like them , I did notice that she is more clingy than the others most people who see her playing with the other cats are surprised to find out she can only see out of one eye.
I hope this helps a little .
Best wishes for your baby and you.

Thank you so much guys for your wishes!!!!

It already helped a bit today when we were at the vet. He said that the Eye fiiiiiiinally started to heal!

Last week when we were there he gave Moka a ...kind of injection and it seems like that helped the most. Got those Creams or however you call it which i give her before we go to bed and we also got eye drops which seem to help too.

Mokas eye is still very watery. Looks like shes crying all the time :(
Good thing is that she opens it more and more now, so i think it starts to hurt less already?!

The vet told me that the eye looks cloudy (?) is normal and i dont need to be scared of her getting blind. If the healing process goes good she will get a normal clear eye again.
Sad thing is that he still cant say if Moka needs an operation or not. :-(
And if i translate right now the Problem she has is called " cornea abscess". Does that make sense?

I will keep you updated!

It does make sense. I am so glad she is doing better! Hopefully, she won't need an operation! Good luck, little Moka!

Glad her eye is a little better and with all your love and care she has the best chance of healing (hopefully without surgery!).

Today Moka was at the vet again and its still getting better :)

She got another injection and the vet told me to go on with the eyedrops i have. on monday i call him to tell him if everything is oki or not.

was a hard day for moka today since everyone at the vets place was looking at her like she is an alien or so. ppl asked me so many questions and everyone wanted to touch her -.-
and everytime moka came out of her box ppl went like " aaaaaw look how cute she is". well, the dogs didnt like her that much but Moka didnt really care :D

Poor baby! That looks a lot like Jethro's eye when he had a herpes outbreak. It later turned into an ulcer. They gave us an antibiotic drop but it didn't do a whole lot. What REALLY did the trick- they took a blood sample and put it into this machine that separated the protien in his blood and made an eyedrop out of that. Apparently they do this for all types of eye infections and it works wonders. That took care of the eye in less than a week! Good luck!!
