Muffin in ICU at the Vet hospital at UT. She's been there for the last 4 days. They update my daughter every 2 hrs. She has septicemia, which is in her liver and gallbladder. When she took her she was in a diabetic coma but she is improving. The bill already is over 3000. I've agreed to help her. The vets said there was no reason to put her down but, her husband is over it. I can see the friction rising. In fact she's packed his bags and has told him be supportive or leave( this weekend). He's made plans for the weekend and Rachel wants to visit Muffin and stay at home. She's had Muffin for 16 yrs and treats her like a child. I consider her my grand cat. Oh, she will have to have a feeding tube for a while because her muscle mass is 2 percent. They hope she will be able to come home in a few days. I hope you don't think we are crazy, but Muffin means so much to her. I've talked to her about quality of life but the vets think she will be back to normal once they get the septicemia in control. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They have meant so much to Rachel and I.
