I am in the process of looking for a sphynx. I was hoping to rescue one, but that doesn't seem like it is going to happen. I have always rescued all of my animals, so looking for a breeder is a new experience for me. I do know that in the dog world a breeder raising more than one litter at a time is a huge red flag. What about with cats? It seems common for breeders to have multiple litters at once. Is this something that is acceptable to mot people?

My breeder had two queens and when I visited the cattery, Astor's litter was....5 to 7 weeks old I think? and the other queen had a litter that must have been less than a week old. There was plenty of room for everyone, the cages were clean, and the kitties happy.

Personally, I think the thing that matters the most is visiting the cattery.

I would ask how many breeding cats they have and how many litters each Queen has per year. Anymore than 1-2 is too much from what I understand. Maybe some other with experience will chime in.
