My costume is finished!!!!!!!!

So, my best friend is having a Halloween party this weekend, and I decided to make my own costume this year. I'm keeping it under wraps from everyone else, but I thought I'd share it with all of you!!

I'm going as Ursula from the Disney version of the Little Mermaid (my fave Disney movie), and my costume turned out great! I am so happy with the result! Much better than I expected!

I'm going to paint my hair white and make a seashell necklace, and I think it'll be complete!

Lenore was checking it out so she could give her seal of approval. She helped, of course. Observed and made sure I did it right... Occasionally straightened the fabric for me...

I'm actually going to use really pale body paint, like a translucent white, so that the purple will stand out more.

I haven't had a handmade costum since I was a kid (my mom made all our costumes and they were always the best).
I am working on mine this yeear (as I have the time).
If it works out I will share it here....though I am not sure it will be as nice as yours.
