I had to put my 6 year old girl, Daisy down yesterday morning, and it absolutely broke my heart. :Cry:She had a growth that ruptured and left her with a small open wound on her side. I was with her as she passed on the exam table. It is a sight and experience that does not leave you. My heart is so heavy though I know that she is in a much better place now. Please say a prayer for her as she is with her brother, Jack now over the Rainbow Bridge.

Mommy, Gavin, Mandy and Andrew love you, sweet Daisy and will never ever forget you. Rest in Peace, sweetheart.

Oh, I am so sorry. I know how much it hurts, but at least she isn't in pain any more and that is a blessing. She's most likely snuggled on some angel's lap, purring like crazy and sending her love to you to try to mend the hole in your heart. Rest in peace, little Daisy. You were loved, and that is everything.
Hugging you through cyberspace and wishing I could do something to take the pain away--but I know that just isn't possible.
Love ya,
Susi and the gang

She sure was a pretty girl...I bet she's turning more than a few feline boys' heads across the Bridge. She looks like she was a special girl and you can tell she was very loved.

She was a very big girl; 18 pounds & yes, very pretty orange tabby with big, round eyes. She loved belly rubs.

She is being buried at a nearby pet cemetery called, Angel View. That is where her brother, Jack was buried back in 2008. I hope whoever adopted the rest of the litter they came from has better fortune than I did with these babies. I don't wish this heartache on anyone.

I know, Sharon....I know how bad it hurts. I wish I had some magic formula for making the pain go away. I was really struck by how pretty her markings were--I'm normally not that attracted to ginger colored hairy cats, but she was a real looker. I also know that you know you did the right thing--you gave her the only gift left to you to give. And I know she would thank you if she could. Feel the hurt for a bit, but then turn your thoughts to those belly rubs you gave her, about the joy she brought to your life and let all that was wonderful about her fill up the spaces where the pain was. She will be with you always that way.

Aww, Susi thank you. I don't know what else to say to you except a real heartfelt thank you. I must go now. Boone is hinting around that he wants his snack.

I am so sorry for your loss. ::HUGS:: I know that was hard. You are a wonderful mama and she and her brother know how much you love them. They're playing together now and waiting for you at the bridge.

So sorry to hear this. I know that all to well of the feeling being with your pet as we let them go, and it is not easy. The pain is gone for them and they are forever in our hearts.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, the pain is gone for them, but for us it lingers on and on. I have many kitties in my heart.
