Stella, went to the vet a week ago for her ears, they thought she had ear mites but it was just bacteria. She has ear drops which she doesn't mind too much. The vet said she is all healthy except she needs to lose a little bit of weight, she weights 9.8 pounds. she is supposed to be 6-8 pounds. They gave me a few tips by making her work for her food. I have been giving her 1 cup of food spread out in four bowls in different places in the house. She got a microchip put in her yesterday, she didn't even meow a lot when she got it.
She is doing really well.

Yay Stella!! So the microchip went okay then? I was wanting to get one for Zoa but since most people have it done when the cat gets fixed (Zoa got fixed before I got her) I was worried it would be too painful or stressful for her.

So glad your baby is doing well!!

Glad Stellas doing well, she'll soon loose that bit of weight i wouldnt worry about it, its proberbly just puppy fat (if you'll excuse the pun lol) I had Blue chipped when he was neutered & they had to cut him to get the microchip in coz he was so tini-tiny....even now if you feel between his shoulders at the right spot you can actually feel the little grain of rice shape of a chip, it doesnt bother him atall & theres no scar as hes 10 month old now & grown lots, hes still a skinny little tin-ribs tho compared to my other cat fifa, he was chipped a few months after he was neutered & i saw the needle, it didnt look very nice it had a really big fat sharp end he made a little whinge but it never bothered him after that, i supposse every cats different xxx

So happy to hear Stella is doing well. @curlysue might be someone you can communicate with about Stella losing weight. Her Violet lost a lot of weight and she might give you some tips.

Yay for Stella!!! Getting your pet microchipped is too important to let a moment of discomfort stand in your way. My boys both did really well, Samael didn't even look up from the kibble the vet had given him!
