New gotcha day... maybe...

It's been so hard these past days in our house. Like the sadness losing Ossi came back now that we lost Fisen. Siiri keeps us busy but I can see that she would benefit having a naked friend. She's still tiny and sleeps a lot. She talks like crazy so I think she might have a siamese streak in her. You can almost see the wrinkle in her forehead when she wants something. She's gonna be a handful I'm sure!
Trying to keep busy, started a painting project in our bedroom and between layers of paint I almost think I see Fisen sneaking around the corners....
Talked to Siiri's breeder and she hooked me up with her breeder collegue. As it happens she has a litter of five that are four weeks now. One brown boy for me, if I want. This little one was small when born so they bottle fed him extra and now he's grown bigger than his siblings. The lines on this litter are so good, lot's of heart scans and very healthy cats all around. The cat daddy comes from Siiri's breeder. But, it's all too soon to tell, but maybe, just maybe I can look forward to yet another new family member!

I know how hard it is to think about bringing a new cat home but after my Merlin died I thought no cat would ever have that bond with me but I was wrong because Wolfgang has made my heart so full and every day is special.

Will do, as soon as I get any... but it is too soon to tell if and when, they're only 4 weeks old and no vet has seen them yet!

Aw hoping your heart will lead you to the right decision for you :shame: How exciting a potentially new love to be added to the family! If you do choose to open your heart to another, our babies will only be one week apart! Our boy turns 3 weeks tomorrow. I hate waiting for them to grow lol!

I can't for the love of me allow Siiri to grow up with just humans, I know this breed needs friends and I can't think of anything other than a sphynx. Not now anyway... and the name game, that's one of my favorite things! The breeder said it's her Y litter, meaning that the cat's get names that start with a Y. Something to consider...

You rock girl! I know how sad you are and how much you miss Fisen and Ossi. And that's why I think it's great of you you also keep going for happy things. It would be great if Siiri gets a partner in crime and you would have two little devils to take care of.

Yeah, I really don't care about color as long as he's healthy. I don't know how to feel about the fact that he's been partly bottle fed, if this is a problem? He's grown bigger than his siblings now and appears healthy. Only 4 weeks old yet but he is available if we want him. We're first on the list. The cat daddy comes from Siiris breeder and I've checked and the lines are super a long way back. It's a breeder that scans for HCM religiously and only has one or two litters a years so the little ones get lots of attention and family time. This was the cat mommys first litter and there was five of them. This is why this little guy and one of his sisters got help with bottle feeding... I know too little of these things. We'll see what happens during coming weeks. Maybe I'm afraid to hope? Naaah, I love him already! I'll keep you posted.

@Zab health is the most important thing indeed! My boy Ross was bottle feed cause he didn't want to drink with his mommy. He was the runt of the litter. My boy Toa was the biggest of the litter. And when I took them home, Ross turned out to be the most healthy one. Never had a health issue!!
So I don't think your boy being bottle feed is something you should worry about. Specially not if he growing and eating well.
How could you not already love him? He's so cute!

I looked at her picture and knew she would want me to share Sphynx love again in her honor .
I cautiously optimistically adopted one.
I took a deep breathe of relief when all was going well Toby.
I took a deep breathe again , opened my heart adopted his Sphynx buddies ..
It was all such a sensitive heartfelt journey each time I opened the door to my heart.

Haven't talked this over with Siiri yet... I don't know, have I already decided? I'll know in the next few weeks. I'm such a mush when it comes to these creatures. I could easily fill my whole house with cats. I'll probably die alone and then they'll find me in a rocking chair with 15 cats that ate my face off... I've become a crazy cat lady for sure!

I've also replied to an ad for a calico? Harlequin? male sphynx. He's so stunning! But, the breeder feels off and can't show me how she scans or works her breeding. Also she's not responding to my direct questions and that makes me want to get the cat from her to a better home, but at the same time I don't want that cat at all...
