So I would really like a new pet but I have no clue on what to choose. All I have is My kitt and a corn snake. I'm open for any options, beside a dog or a big animal. Let me know why you think it would be a great pet.

I love bunnies! I have also considered a sugar glider but they can be expensive and a lot of work to feed. Not the kind of pet I would trust for someone else to look after if you went away. I also have looked into hedgehogs.

Hedgehogs looks cute!
I have had leopard gekko's and loved them, they are easy to look after and dont smell! well unless you dont clean them for a long time ofc, just sift the sand and take out the poop - easy!

Well, did you think of maybe getting a playmate for your baby Kitt? another Sphynx?

I had guinea pigs before, they are cute!

I wanted a ferret for the longest time! But they are like little toddlers, they get into everything if you are not careful. They are very smart and funny. And they do have a natural smell, even after their glands are taken out.
But they are so darn cute! If was not getting my baby Sphynx, I would still be thinking about a ferret :)

Good luck!

I would love another sphynx, but the kitts just cost so much that I couldnt afford one right now. I know that I could adopt an older one, but they are not as easy to find either, especially close to me, plus Josh said that if we get another one, we are getting a kitten this time since Akali was 2 when I got her. In the future I will get another one because I love my Akali more than any other pet I have ever had. I found some hairless guineas close to me, but after I did the research, they seemed like more work than Akali haha so I decided against that. I have ALWAYS wanted a ferret, but I heard that they stink and you need to wash them 2 or more times a week and after you buy the cage and everything for them, I might as well bought another Sphynx

I love birds and have had several parrots over my lifetime, but too many cats now.....and they are so messy. I'd love a ferret, but they stink and are into EVERYTHING. I went into a pet store not too long ago and they had a tortoise--and I think if I ever get something else, that would be what I'd get. I think they're cool, they're easy to take care of (I think) and I was just really attracted to it. I don't know how affectionate they are, but I really thought it was adorable. I also like hedgehogs. I adore rats, but their life expectancy is just too short--I fall in love too deeply to say goodby after a year or two.
Why not change somebody's life and go get a furry kit from a shelter? That would be a win/win.

I also love bunnies. We had a mini-lop rabbit for a few years and she was a blast! She was potty trained to use an old broiler pan-spawning lots of jokes about how I was "training" her to be dinner! She got along with the cats and was just really sweet. Unfortunately, they do not live as long as cats, and that is difficult to deal with. Good luck with your decision.

I know what you mean. I got my Zelda from a guy from California who is not wanting to breed anymore. He gave me a really good price and I believe he has one more boy left and then he is not doing it anymore. If you want the number let me know, but there are sooo many GREAT breeders out there as well. But yes they are expensive and clearly understand you. Yes, the ferrets does has a smell, but I don't find it terribly bad, but thats my personal opinion. And while the cage and other things are expensive I did find some on craigslist that weren't too much. You just need to really look for it. Unless you want to save up about a 100 a week for 12 weeks and get a Sphynx :) LOL

I've had ferrets before and they didn't stink :) I used to give them a bath every other week. I got a hand me down cage from my bro and his girlfriend that was pretty cool. It had different levels and ramps. In the bottom I either used wood chips or kitty litter. The kitty litter was nice because I could just scoop it out, but they got dirtier faster with it. They do get in everything, I used to let mine out to play a lot and when my room mate and I moved (this was in college) we found a stash of snacks under the couch, lol! We also used to get 12 packs of sodas and leave the cartons on the floor for it to play in.

What about fish? I'm not good at keeping an aquarium. No matter how hard I try - and test and change the water I always kill them :-( I guess I just have bad luck, but I love watching fish tanks. They're so peaceful and there are so many kinds of fish you can get.

I love fish tanks too!!! I wish for a salt water one!! When you learn to deal with the water is really easy to keep it up :)

we have a russian tortoise, 5 male rats, a male bunny, bearded dragon, pixie frog and fish tanks.

What is it like having a tortoise? I saw one slightly smaller than a tennis ball yesterday and I wondered if they are friendly.

You could get a parakeet. They are easier to take care of then the bigger birds and less expensive. Birds are a fun pet.
