New pigmentation in cats eye

Our 4YO sphynx male volko has developed some pigmentation in one of his eyes in the last 6months or so. It doesn’t seem to affect him, doesn’t cause extra tearing - it’s still worth getting checked out by vet but never changes size - I read that some
Sphynx eyes can change pigment as they age or is it an eye infection?

Anything eye related is definitely worth a vet visit. Our one boy had extra pigmentation but he was about 8 when it started. Please keep us updated as your info might help others in the future.

@VolkoSimone , I personally would vet check to rule out any possibility of corneal sequestrum. My Yodaman had and caught it early, got eye drops and all cleared up. I am not a vet, just sharing my experience. hugs n positive vibe head smooches, keep us updated on sweet Volko.

We were finally able to get to the vet today. They said both eyes were actually a little cloudy and inflamed. They did a dye test and found no ulcers - prescribed eye drops and we have a follow up visit next week

Of course - I find threads like these helpful in a pinch. The drops seem to be helping already and he’s such a good boy about me putting them in for him

It’s possible for some Sphynx cats to develop eye pigmentation as they age, and if it’s stable and not causing tearing, redness, or discomfort, it’s often nothing serious. Still, it’s a good idea to have your vet check it just to be safe. Keep an eye on it and note any changes over time

The drops are Torbadex -
Tobramycin and Dexamethassa

I just took him in for his follow up appointment and his eyes look great, he still has a slight discolouration but they said it’s likely an injury from a scratch and the rest of the eyes look good, no inflammation and no ulcers.

Hes been a very good boy with allowing us to put the drops in.
