Baubles haha, love it! I had Niles microchipped, too. Good idea to do it then-- the big needle won't hurt so bad. Interesting to see the little "hole" after. I can see each poke on him from where his fluids were given, pain meds, microchip, and blood drawn.

I can only imagine what a diabetic sphynx would look like...

Glad you said that as I was also thinking oh my, will we be able to see the microchip hole after? At least now I have some warning!!
poor baby!

Sounds like Niles doesn't realize something was done to him. Sneaky sneaky mommy! So glad he tolerated it well and is recovering.

Johnny had a "hole" too and it kind of freaked me out so when I had Diego chipped, she glued the hole shut so it wasnt so bad.

It's good to hear about the micro-chip, I want to have that done with Nudie when she gets spayed. Weird question: can you see the micro-chip through the skin? Is there like a little bump or anything? Their skin seems like it would show anything that's underneath.

I thought that may be, too. So far just a little scab at injection site, and it took some light rubbing to locate it. Didn't squeeze or manipulate since its still new/sore. Can't see through his skin.

One of my brothers little dogs is skinny and you can feel hers. Some pets you can, but I'd say most you can't. Just depends on the animal, if it migrates, and I'd imagine how deep when implanted.

Johnny is so chubby that I cant find his at all. Diego is a skinny guy and If I really feel for it I can find it. You can not see it through their skin and in most animals, you cant find it

Gleek was microchipped about a month before I got him. At that time there was just a faint little scab to let me know where it was. Other than that I don't see it or feel it.

My other 3 boys are all chipped and even with loads of feeling round, I can't find them!
I really wanted Smeagol done asap but he's such a wriggler it was going to be an impossible task! We just throw a ball into the front room if he tries to get out the door with us and that keeps him occupied long enough for us to do a runner! lol
