Hi all,

Maybe some of you noticed me not being online the last two weeks. That's cause I was on a holiday to Madeira. I walked/hiked there two weeks and it was amazing. I'm on my way back home now, stop over in Lissbon and waiting at the airport. I'm so excited that in a few hours I can cuddle my crew again. Hope they won't be too angry at me for leaving them!

@Xandria and @sphynxmoms a few pics specially for you cause you both asked. I have lots of pics but won't bore you with them.

Tunnels I had to walk through. Very scary for me since I'm a bit claustrofobic.

If you live hiking/walking in nature, not to see and hear people(noise) for hours and hours and you're ready for some adventure, go to Madeira.

But of course most beautiful of all...

I missed them so and can't wait to see them. I feel like a teenager that's in love and is going to her lover after not seeing him for weeks:smuggrin:

@badtwin14 thanks. When the plane landed I was so in a rush to get out of the plane, that the man next to me asked: are you husband and kids waiting for you in the hall? And I: no my naked cats are waiting for me at home.
You should have seen that look on his face.

Oh and when I came home, Toa rushed at the door to...squish himself behind me and run around in the garden looking for the mouses. But lucky my I have 3 cats and Ross and Jade did show they missed me.

Okay some of you asked for it . More pics of my holiday in Madeira. It was like walking/hiking in fairytale land

I mean...look at this stair made of of a rock. Maybe I turned into Alice and I'm in wonderland?

Being tall can be a challenge in Madeira

Only a few people on the hiking trails and I walked around for hours without seeing anybody. Birds aren't afraid of people here so I could watch mommy bird feeding her baby

Green and lots of flowers

Lots of fallen threes on the path

Madeira is one big mountain

I love watching birds. This little red head has a beautiful sound and he made me very happy!

We have way too less butterflies in the Netherlands since 30 years so I'm always happy to see them.

Madeira has so many different flowers! Everywhere you look you see flowers. Made photos of all of them. Missing there smell already.

But no flower can beat the mushy smell of my crew

Oh my gosh - that's GREAT! I bet his face was priceless! Those who have naked babies understand!! Those who do not - are missing out! Lol. Although I can't say many people I know think my baby is cute. I love my naked baby - and have a second one coming in a few weeks!!!!

@Hairless Blessing Ooooooh help! I'm in deep trouble when my babies contacted Izmae and the Bareskin firm. Yikes! But in my defene: there was a catstitter visiting them twice a day and my parents come once a day. They're spoiled rotten by all those visitors!

What an absolutely wonderful time you had. I love your photos so much, and certainly would enjoy seeing more – especially of… Well, anything. Madeira is so enchanting. I truly wish that my body would allow me to hike along the same trails (the soft tissue in my ankles are deteriorating so I cannot walk or stand very well). But I am so happy to live vicariously through you and I have thoroughly enjoyed the photos you have gifted us with. Although the best pictures were those of your crew on the couch

Are you going to go back there sometime? Even though it's a small region, it just looks so rich In plant and wildlife as well as being peaceful.

Thank you so much for sharing with us. Now I can say that I have seen a little bit more of Madeira other than knowing that some of the scotch I drink was housed in Madeira casks! LOL

@Xandria Scotch of Madeira, yummy! They make a good rum there too. And ofcourse the Madeira wine (although that's a bit too sweet for me).
Sorry to hear you're not able too walk/hike in nature. I know you'll be able to make best of your life anyhow. You're a truely positive person for enjoying the pics of nature. I'll made a few short video's while walking. I'll post them there so you can go on for a short walk with me.
