Smidget's breeder did homemade raw food, but I'm not comfortable doing so myself. I recently purchased Primal Formula for my critters, and I'm currently deciding just how I want to go about feeding them. I'm thinking one nugget in the morning and one in the evening, with their dry food set out during the day. They're both under 10 pounds (though I won't be surprised if Nym surpasses that), and I'm primarily using it as the vehicle for their medication (I think I'm seeing improvements, though I don't want to confirm it, yet).

All that was a bit rambling, so I'll be more to the point: For those who use or have used Primal, what do you think of the brand? What do your critters think? How does it treat them?

I do the exact same thing except with Nature's Variety. Primal looks like a fine choice, but I really dont know anything about it. I do 1 nugget in the morning & evening. And leave a dry food out all day for grazing. Mine's still under a year so I want her to eat what she needs to grow. I'd love her to self regulate food too, and hope she can once shes out of a growing phase. I can tell when she's going through a " growth spurt" as she eats like a ravenous pig.

I'm doing a bit of regulating at the moment since it's starting to look like I was correct about Smidget's acid reflux (afraid to confirm, but I'm hopeful). Smidget has reached her full growth, so it isn't a problem for her, but Nym is only 10 months old. I'm filling the bowl multiple times per day to make up for it, but being careful with the measurements. They're not yowling in agony (though Smidget is VERY talkative <3), and they're both curled up at the foot of the bed as I type this, so I think we're about right.
