If I remember right that picture was taken the day after I brought them home.

Pans are a pretty serious issue, but she never never messed with them again. It amazes me how smart Sphynxes are. I say this because of PounceQuick... One night Pouncey jumped into a hot skillet and came back a few minutes later and tried to do it again! I caught him in mid-leap!

Although PounceQuick would do ANYTHING for food. At 4 months he was slim, HUGE and about 12 pounds. He grew up to be about 25 pounds. At one point he tipped the scales at 32 (yes, at that point he was overweight). He was a HUGE cat. He defeated all our child-safety latches in our kitchen. He would raid the cabinets in the middle of the night. We finally invented something that worked. He also liked to leap into your arms without warning....lol

They really are a bunch of smarties. My gramkit Lucius knows exactly where the treats are at his house and also my house.... though he visits only a couple of times each year. Not only does he know where they are, he knows how to open the doors/drawers to get them. We had to sphynx-proof those cupboards! Once he got into a new bag of freeze-dried duck hearts, opened it, and ate ALL of them. I can't believe he didn't get sick!!

I have one too and share your worry.
I keep a large kettle of water on the stove. I move it to the hot burner while it cools.
