Ohhh Susi! I haven't been on the Lair too much because of spring break, so this is almost unbelievable! First I read about Elle (SphynxHappy) losing her beloved Kosar, and then about you and beautiful Miss Pearlie. I'm so glad Pearlie is doing better and we are praying that her healing continues. Bob says that Pearlie's portrait is one of his best, so she just can't be sick! Therefore, Pearlie needs to get better fast!!! Andi hope your finances get better soon too!! Julie

LOL....I am a teacher. My finances will NEVER be better. I am the only one I know that will make MORE money when I retire than I do when I am working...between my pension and Social Security-- LOL. But I have enough and consider myself blessed to be able to have everything I need and a lot of what I want, so I am luckier than a lot of folks.

*hugs* for you and Pearlie! I am so sorry she had to have surgery! Pyometra is really terrible. I am glad that she is ok! It is sad she won't have any babies but like you said at least you get to have Pearlie! Poor girl! I hope she has an easy heal and that things are easier from now on!

I definitely hear you! I'm a teacher too, only in our state, I will get my pension but no Social Security. But, I am blessed because I am getting a pension. And I am in agreement with you--when we count our blessings, we ARE luckier than most people!

You must get paid better than we do......seventeen miles down the road from us make $10,000 more straight across the line. We are one of the lowest paid school districts in the state. But the 5 min, drive to work is a big draw for me to work here. So if I couldn't get the social security in addition to the pension, I would never be able to retire. I live a pretty simple life, but I wouldn't survive on my pension alone.

LOL, the people at school were all talking about the cruise they were going on....or which island they were visiting......or what flights they were booking.....and they asked me where I was going for spring break. My reply: "I am going to WalMart."

Oh Susi, I'm so so sorry to hear about all the horrible events. You have such a big heart and I know not having Pearlie's mini me(s) is devastating But thank goodness she's okay! So glad she is. I can't even imagine how you felt sitting up all night with her, not really able to do much since the vet was closed. I'm so sorry all this is happening to you! Wishing you better weeks to come...stay strong.
