So I purchased pickle over a week ago now, he’s settled in perfectly which is lovely but. After doing research about breeders and stuff, I feel so sorry for my little cat. I was told before purchasing pickle that he was 12 weeks old.. to then find out he was only 9 weeks old which shocked me a lot. Pickle was also not vaccinated or microchipped ( I did this as soon as I found out).pickle was a present from my mother who didn’t do very good research.( im still very thankful, pickle was my two dream cats in one )I spoke to the breeder to find out she was only feeding a 9 weeks old kitten chicken. (That’s also changed) thankfully I have done a lot of research but I’m just in shock and just want to make sure I’m feeding him okay. He’s honestly my world and want to make sure he’s okay. Vet checks were all good. Pickle is Sphynx 3/4 and 1/4 peterbald (hence the crazy whiskers). Any advice would be great just making sure I’m doing everything I can for my little boy :) I understand the awfulness of not good breeders and I’m just very anxious about him

Welcome to SL. I am so happy you pieced things together and had your baby vet checked and on a healthy diet etc. It is very sad how many back yard breeders lie and are in it for the $. Those of us who adore the breed know they are our whole heart once they come into our homes.

I look forward to seeing you active in the community and sharing your Pickles with us regularly. Here is a section of the forum that is full of great info. Sphynx Cat Help Center

Feel free to ask any questions…we love newbies when they join the group we get excited all over again. @picklethecat

Hello and welcome. Pickle is beautiful, Im not surprised he has stole your heart. You will find some great links here on SL in regards to feeding tips and well being for your little guy. But I think the most important thing is that he has been lucky enough to find you , is now in safe hands and hopefully have a very bright future because you care for him so much and have his welfare at heart.

Hello and welcome! I’m sorry that your mom and you were misled about him but he is in the best hands now. You are already on the right path with him and his care.

It’s a shame there are so many backyard breeders that scam so many people with this special breed.

There is a ton of information here and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
