I have been able to upload a few pics here but more often than not, it keeps saying the file is too big and to resize?? I guess I'm a little technically challenged...I have no clue how to do that?! Can anybody instruct me please? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

Here are some options: http://www.wikihow.com/Resize-Digital-Photos (I use method 2, it's easy if you are using a computer)

If you are using a phone there might be a free app.

Every photo I want to upload here I need to resize it - I usually use paint or an image resizer program I downloaded - and wish it would automatically resize or compress them to save the hassle though I'm not sure how difficult that is to do.

Hi- are you trying to add to your albums I imagine? If so, you must resize your photo as described below to 1920 x1080 px. It should be automatically resized when adding an image to a post or thread though. Please let me know if this is what you are refereeing to. I am looking into another photo gallery for Sphynxlair that has many needed features like auto resize and an option to add your album photos with a button from the editor and more.
  1. Sphynxlair offers a wonderful image gallery for you to share and save your photos with the Sphynxlair community. To get started, first go the top of the forum area and "hover" over the gallery tab and choose "Add new photos" to add a new photo to your existing album or to create a new album.

    * The MAX image size for uploaded photos is 1920 x 1080 pixels. If your photo is larger then this, you will get an upload error and not be able to upload your photo successfully.

Once you click "add new photo" you will be prompted with this screen to "add to existing album", "add to default album" or "Create new album."

Once you choose one of these options above, you will then have another screen pop up that asks where to add the new image. Choose the album of your liking.

Then the upload screen. Choose "Upload Files."

Are you referring to the albums as well as far as resize?

Here is a free app to resize photos for iPad https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/batchresizer-quickly-resize/id642338509?mt=8 again, for now anyway, you should only need this for albums, not photos or posts.

Hmmm. I will tag @admin on this so he can take a look. The last I knew the newest upgrades were going to resize. What phone do you have? I know he will get back to you.

I just uploaded a huge picture from my iPhone 5 with no issues - @gothicmist - are you uploading directly through the site or are you using Tapatalk?

The site. I never downloaded tap talk should I?
Have you ever uploaded an image to the site on that phone? Can you try another? Tapatalk is free, its limited, I am not a fan of it, but that shouldn't make the difference in uploading an image. Please try another for me.

I have change the upload_max_file size PHP setting on the back end. Please let me know if anyone else has this issue with uploading large image files.
