So his temperature is back to normal now, he is no longer having neurological issues and he survived the sedation. They've taken bloods, swabs of his eyes and swabs of the back of his throat. If he can eat and drink later today he can come home - although part of me thinks he should stay overnight as this was a very rapid onset illness and they at least have 24hour nurses with the animals hospitalised.
We have been advised to keep khaleesi separate until the results of the tests come back. Hubby has said he will sleep downstairs with her.

Thank you for the update. I appreciate it as I have not gotten this whole thing out of my mind since I read it earlier.
That is great that he's doing better. I continue to have you all in my thoughts and prayers.
By the way, is it at all possible that he got into a chemical or do you have plants in the house? Just wondering.

No problem for the updates- I've just been sitting here all day waiting for them myself from the vet! I'm driving myself mad .....
Nope we don't have any plants in the house (only fake ones as I am not a good plant keeper) and all our chemicals are locked away because of the children.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, especially after the recent heart break with Brian. I'm glad he's improving. Hopefully they'll call you later to let you know he's eating and can come home!

Emily have you contacted your breeder to see about the other cats from the littler. Mabey you can contact some of them to see if there kitties have had any problems. I think if you find out that littler of kittens were sick you can come together and try to figure out what the problem was. Your breeder should be very supportive right now with 2 of her kittens she sold you being sick and one passing. I am so sorry you are going through this. My heart breaks for you right now.

I've been in contact with my breeder continuously. She gave us khaleesi to keep binx company as he was walking around crying for Brian. She is up to date with binx issues. The breeder kept one girl from the litter herself for her breeding programme- she appears fine (but binx was fine till this morning
) I had 2 of the boys and there is one other male kitten whom was sold to someone I don't know. Binx is not able to come home tonight as he does not want to eat at all

I know its hard sweetie, but Binx staying overnight right now might be the best thing for him, until they get the results all sorted out! *hugs* Hang in there!!!

O sweetie, I am so sorry. I do remember now that your breeder just gave you a new baby. I am glad she is in contact with you and knows what is going on. I will say some extra prayers tonight that your baby wakes up feeling better and will be able to come home. I will be praying very hard.

There seems to be a lot of sicknesses going on right now--reminds us all how much we need each other--because there but by the grace of God, go we. Let's keep those Lair prayers coming...for Binxy and all the other sick babies right now.

Binx is in the best place possible. You have all of us praying for your baby. No doubt you are exhausted...take this time to recharge...tomorrow is a new day and hoping to see some good news in the morning.

I too am not good with plants, so all my plants and trees in the house are fake (flowers too). LOL
I knew you had children and that chemicals wouldn't be out. I was just hoping that maybe Binx got into something, anything rather than to think that he's going through the same thing as Brian.
I know how much you want Binx home tonight, but if he's staying over at the hospital, he can be watched and treated. You need some sleep, Emily, you are emotionally and physically burning out. I know that you'd be watching Binx all night if he was home.
Let's all pray and have positive thoughts that he is so much better in the a.m. and can eat and come home then.
Try to get some sleep and know that my arms are reaching out to hug you even though we are a million miles away from each other. I wish I can offer you more, Hon.

He's home but I don't think he should be??? He is really frightened still his respiration rate is still high and I'm sure he's running a temperature - I'm going to buy a thermometer today. He's on antibiotics, eye ointment, anti-inflammatories and a throat solution we have to syringe in.
I'm going to give him a couple hours rest to relax- if things don't improve he will be going back to the vets

glad to see that he is home! Remember if you are stressing out its going to stress him out! Being at home may be better for him. At the clinic we take it case by case. some animals do better if they stay with us, some will spend the day but go home at night, and some we try to treat at home... sending positive thoughts, hugs and prayers your way<3

Oh Emily. Seeing that pic made me cry. He looks so sad. I'm sending the strongest deepest wishes that its not for too much longer. I'm so sorry your family is going through this especially after losing Brian. I'm glad Khaleesi is doing well. Please give Binx huge hugs and kisses from us.
