Hail Lairians
What a nightmare.
He was not blocked but because his bladder is still Inflamed he was straining. So they gave him a valium like drug to help woth pain and calm him. Well it did the opposite. We got him home and he was in a frenzy. Running druggy all over the house and then eating a bowl of food and drinking a whole bunch of water. He finally calmed down an hour later and layer down.
He was still high when I got back up to get ready for work. Trying to touch my face and hair. He has another drug to help with inflammation. Gave him that and put him in our extra room today alone with his special dry and wet food.
I am just so tired and stressed out. I feel like my arms are going to fall off

I am happy to hear he isn't blocked. You need some rest and relaxation! Maybe Merlin will share some of his Valium! Lol

Oh no...so scary to have that happen again and in the middle of the night. Poor Merlin. Glad to hear he wasn't blocked, but all that inflammation gave him the urges feeling like a busting bladder.
Hopefully this is the last of it and everything will calm down quickly and he'll be back to himself.
Hugs to you...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Well they were Al eating the venison and pea diet and they could have rabbit too because it was easier to have them all eat it but now they have him eat in cd hills prescription diet.

Got to talk to my regular vet today and we will be seeing her in Monday afternoon. She said she is going to read over all his charts from the ER vet and see if we can for a plan.

I was a bit worried because when we let him out of the extra room when we got home he was a bit frantic. But, we had our play session and he seems calmer. I am in bed now. Yawn.
Watched him pee earlier. He is NOT shy. It was a good color and he isn't straining as much. So...will just have to wait/and see.
Thank you all for your prayers and we'll wishing again...

I kept him separate today while we were gone. He was happy when we got home and ate his rx wet food good. Now resting with me

Seems calmer today. I'm hoping the anti inflammatory is helping him out.

How is Merlin doing after the set back the other night?
He seemed okay this morning and came out for his wet food. He stayed in bed all night so that is a good sign he is feeling better. So, I left him out in the full house today. We have a short day of work so will be home to check on him by 430pm.

He did well out in the house today. He seems less stressed and so that is good. Ate dinner well and now us roasting himself at a heat vent.
I just scooped and the pee clumps are back to being a better size. So I know he is not going to the box a lot only to pee a little.
Vet on Monday. Fingers crossed
