Please pray for Merlin

Hail all.
In the midst of the blizzard we are at the animal ER with Merlin. He was acting strange and running from litter box to litterbox and was not getting much of anything out. I knew thar ment a trip to the ER.
Please pray. He has never had problems before but we did a food switch for Kiki and I think it did him in. Oh......fart....what a nite.

He had to stay at the ER. We just got home through the cold. He had a blocked urethra. Vet thinks it is from stress. He is having a cathater put in now and the vet will call when procedure is done. Vet said it os good we caught this very early so he doesn't have a lot of damage.

here he is checking out his digs at the ER.
I will not be able to sleep untill I hear from the vet. I really hope he will only have to stay till tomorrow. Hope we can bring him home then or it will be Wednesday depending on how he does.

Yes I did hate to leave him. I gave him lots of hugs and kisses.

Vet just called. Could hear Merlin in background. Said procedure went well. And will know more in the morning. Flushed out his bladder. Ok. Now I can get some sleep....sigh

Oh, I'm sorry Merlin is having problems. Good thing you did get him
to the Vet so quickly. That's a plus. Praying for him and you.
It will be hard for you to sleep thinking about him. Wanting him home.

Oh Monique...I just am seeing this. Sounds like everything is under control, except your nerves of course. Prayers are sent to Merlin. Please keep us updated. I hope your snuggle boy comes home today and you both get to catch up on sleep.

Called this morning and he is up and moving they won't take the cathater out til tonight. And then ge has to pee on his own all night for him to be able to go home. We won't probably be able to take him til tomorrow night. We are going to go and see him thia afternoon and take him some fresh shirts. I don't want him getting ring around thw colllar.
