Im glad Hairys ordeal is over. Did you buy the place you are moving to? If it is that dirty is there anything you can do to have the cleaning done or paid for by the previous owners/tenants? good luck with the move and cleaning.

I just signed on to see if there was an update on Hairy's blockage. I'm SO glad to hear that it made it's way out on it's own. I must applaud you for the nice "clean-up" job on the screw cover for the photo next to the cough drop! LOL Oh, boy, the things we do, huh? :)
Hairy better behave and only eat food.
Are you still in Livonia? I'm familiar with some areas out in MI. My son used to live there and his fiance is there. My son was in Farmington Hills and his fiance is in Shelby Township.

yes we bought another House in Livonia , we are renting the Old one out. The New House is abuot 3 miles up the Road.
Lots of work in it ahead of us, cleaning done !!! About 80 % moved in. I might not have internet for a few days but then i at least get some putting things away done <g> .
Farmington Hills is not at all far away from me.

Ohhh i am so glad Hairy put it out himself. He has been eating and trying to put the lost weight on him again. He is so skinny after just a couple of days !!

It seems like that Hansel and Hairy bonded a bit in that time he was sick, Hansel took so good care of him , licked him and didnt want to leave his side, it was so cute.
Oh thanks on the Clean up job... i thought if the Vet wants a pic i better clean it up ! LOL

I'm so glad that Hairy is doing well and didn't need surgery. :) It doesn't surprise me that Hansel was concerned for Hairy and cared for him. Animals are a lot smarter than some people give them credit for.
It is amazing how much weight they can lose in such a short amount of time. The sphynx have a very fast metabolism too. I wonder if your vet would agree to have him eat some higher calorie food (even kitten food maybe) mixed with his regular food to help get that weight back on him? I don't like when I see them so thin while and after being ill. :( I wish that I had their metabolism though. LOL
Moving is a lot of work UGH!
I stayed at a hotel in Livonia one time (The Sheridan) when I visited my son and my daughter and her husband stayed in my son's apartment in Farmington Hills.
My son adopted a cat from Back Door Friends in Farmington Hills, but the woman that fostered his kitty lived on the other end of Livonia.
I've been to MI many, many times and will be going back again and again for my son's fiance's parties and then their wedding.

How did I miss this entire thread????? I got so very concerned while I was reading it.....and then so relieved when I heard he passed the screw cover on his own and that no surgery was necessary. Thank goodness. I am sorry I wasn't being supportive.....I feel bad. But am so terribly glad he is on the mend and that you are almost moved in to your new home.
Much love --even though it was late, it is sincere.

I just read the whole thread and am SO relieved that he is okay now!!! Thanks so much for posting this - I just put a new shelf together and am going to throw out all of the screw covers so that I don't have to worry about this happening at our house!

Thank goodness that screw cover passed and Hairy didn't need surgery or an enema. Poor guy.

I can't imagine being so worried on top of the stress of moving.

I'm glad to hear though that Hansel was such a good big brother and that the experience seemed to bring them closer together.

I know I HEART Ikea. I have a plan to make the expidit single cubes into cat shelf thingys. ANd I want to get a stoleman pole so I can order the hollwood franklin shelves.
How are the boys taking the move?
Hopefully well.
Last time we moved I thought Danser would be fine and Loki would freak out and it was the opposite. Loki was so HAPPY and Danser went into depression. oh well.

the Move is going pretty good , I think.
The Boys are in their Catroom right now locked up. With everything they need. We have almost all in the House , my Husband is at the moment with some guys who are getting the Heavy things like Washer and dryer and such.
Once those items are in the House, we will open the doors and let the cat inspect the New House.

So far they are doing ok, Hansel threw up this morning, but i think because there was NOTHING in his old House and it stressed him a bit. Then i brought them here and set them up in their Room and i go in and out but both are Purring and loving the Window each time i go in.

The little guy i think is loving it . Once they see the "normal" furniture in this House when they are allowed to prance around , i think they will be just fine.

I was a military wife for ten years and had to make several moves. My Great Dane would get horribly upset with the empty house--if I had to go out to get something she would howl in terror that I was leaving her. It made me just sob....she just couldn't understand why everything was gone. Moving is very stressful on our babies. Sounds like you have handled it well though.
Much love,

The Cats love the House, specially all the Birds outside. They enjoy the Window very much. I told my Husband already, we might have to tint the front Window.
The Dog loves the Backyard , its huge and she can smell all the other Animals out there.
We had a Skunk for 2 Days under the Deck, but with some Amonia-towels out there, he is gone now too. Hopefully he stays away :Shok:

Everyone is settling in nicely , i still have some unpacking to do, I am procrastinating a few boxes ! lol
