We are in the process of packing all our stuff to move on Saturday, and poor Lenore is so stressed out!

Her tummy is upset and she keeps running over and jumping on top of my suitcase and meowing! It's like she's telling us, "hey! Don't forget me when you take this stuff away!" When she's not on the suitcase, she's stuck to me like glue! She's so afraid of being left behind! It's just heartbreaking!

We'll be moved in by Saturday afternoon, but please send some good vibes for poor Lenore until we get settled in!

You might look into to the feliway plug ins. That might be a stress reducer.

I would but we're going to be on the go pretty much all day for the next two days and not really in a place to plug them in. Good idea, tho. I'll get some for the new apt...

She's so upset. She won't even purr during snuggles! She's been hiding under the blanket for hours and doesn't want to come out. Makes me so sad to think she feels we're going to abandon her! But i can sadly see how she might think that - we are her fourth (and final) family! I'm sure seeing all her stuff packed up brings back bad memories. :'(

On moving day try to set up your bedroom first and let her hang out in there while you do everything else. Dont wash your blankets and such before you go or for a week or so after. Set her up in the bathroom if you have to and surround her with familiar things, like her favortie blankie. Make sure she has a hidy hole of some sort. Take her in first and make sure she is settled before the moving starts or keep her in the car while the stuff is moved if she is ok in the car and if it is a safe temp.

Actually, hubby says I'm not allowed to move anything, so we are going to set up the bedroom and then I'll be there to snuggle her in the blankies all afternoon while everyone else does the moving.

I'm pretty sure once she sees that we're not leaving her bathing and that she can come with us she'll be ok. She kinda did this last time we moved, just not as bad, and as soon as we got to the place and saw I wasn't leaving her, she was fine.

Poor Puxie. I think she is definitely thinking about her last families begat meanies!! Your boyfriend sends tons of reassuring hugs and kisses my darling. Hugo too (but his kisses are very hard) hope she'll be okay Jess. I don't like thinking of little Lenore being the tiniest bit distressed but it's only a few more days then she can help set up Conner's room :Wink2: so glad you're finally getting to your own place. How long has it been since you left the last one?

 Akali knows how she feels. Every time I pack to go home, she gets panicked until she is in the car and going with me. They really dont want to be left behind. Luckily you dont have much longer until you move so she wont have to be worried for so long, but I'm sending good vibes her way to hopefully settle her down.

It's been 4.5 months... We moved out the last week of October.

After months of waiting, we found a place and the process went rather quickly! We're moving today and tomorrow and should be done since we don't have much stuff. Hopefully we won't get rained out!

Oh fishy farts!
Good luck with your move.
They can be stressful for everyone.
Danser didn't do well the last time we moved 5 years ago. But once my bed was up and she knew where her food was she was good.
I used feliway plug-ins and they helped a lot. Once she is snuggyed in bed with you tonight she will hopefully start to feel better

You are probably already moved in by now, but I hope Lenore has stopped being stressed and that you are enjoying some snuggles as I write this. :)
