Since Max has been feeling much better after the treatment of his pancreatitis, he has been eating... a LOT!

This morning he had two large breakfast helpings, and then fell into a food coma. He slept through lunch (and not for lack of me trying to get him to come down for lunch). I thought to myself... uh oh... the only time he misses food and sleeps endlessly is when his body uses all of its energy to make him bigger.

Admittedly this pleases me as it's been a while since he had a growth spurt and he has some big paws to grow into. Grow, Max, grow!!!

My real reason for posting this, however, is that there are so many new Sphynx Mommies and Daddies on the 'Lair, I just wanted to assure them, as I was here, that Sphynx go through crazy growth spurts where it's normal for them to just sleep non stop, even forgoing food, during a growth cycle. I panicked the first time it happened. I thought Max was sick. No... he was just growing!!!!

To everyone with new nakeds in their lives -- enjoy them to the fullest, there are no companions like them.

And... just because...

I noticed the other day that Marcus A. A. has grown again--at just over a year old! Maxie should be slowing his growth down in the next few months. Most of the time now, we are watching Marcus fill out his skinny body and maturing into an adult male cat. Keep up the great work, Maxie!!!

That's good to know. Max still very much appears as a kitten to me. He doesn't quite seem to have an adult Sphynxie physique yet. That or he's just going to be perpetually youthfully cute. ha ha.
