Batwing's surgery is scheduled for January 15th. This surgery is going to greatly increase his quality of life.

Fingers and paws crossed the surgery will go well and Batwing will be happy afterwards!

Brought to tears with discouragement today. I really worry about Batwing's upcoming surgery and funds. I've never been one to beg but having already spent thousands of dollars to get Batwing recovered from his years of neglect. I'm just getting discouraged.

Do you get any discount at all since your a Vet Receptionist?
I think you should. They should work with you.

@Hairless Blessing I should update that. I am now longer a vet receptionist so I no longer get those discounts. However, my vet is discounting the dental xrays, which is a great discount. I do have a care credit card that I can use towards vet bills but it only goes so far and has already been used frequently.

I had everything hit here at once - it can be so stressful I know- just an idea to pass on too:
my vets office was kind enough to go with a care credit promotion of 18 months without me even asking on Dukes $450 bill - Perhaps you can ask the office what's the longest promo period- it is ultimately up to the vets office -
**Just watch care credit bill-
(I pay mine so I never pay interest , work with my money , but I see them sneak on $4-10 charges of interest here and there I have to call and have them remove )

I keep track of the promos separately , ( my dental and vet )I pay online one lump sump and then Call and split the payment -
No additional charges paying the bill this way vs calling it in

@Yoda mom thank you for the care credit info. We've been using it for a bit and things are going ok. Good to know these things though. We are teaching our credit limit with it though. Which is why we were doing some fundraising as well. Batwing is doing ok. His surgery is in a week. His eye is much improved. Still the usual coughing, sneezing, and nasal discharge. But, that may never go away.

@Toa and Ross YES! His surgery is tomorrow. We are leaving the house around 6:30 am and he has an appt at 9 am to check his progress and do pre surgery check ups. I'm very nervous but am planning on staying busy while he's getting his surgery.
