@BridgetteB , awh, you kitty was blessed with the best mum love and care. thank you for sharing the hyperthyroidism symptoms and info.
. My vet and I thought for sure she would have it. Blood work ( I always ask for a "senior panel" CBC blood work, no matter what age, bcz it includes T4 thyroid check, stool, and urine check through Idexx. vet even gives an Idexx kit with zorb litter and tubes for samples.

Macie Mae's thyroid came back perfect. discussing with vet at length, known IBD and believes intestinal lymphoma , did not recommend biopsy for her age, health. she has been CKD since 2020. she is my warrior princess. thank you for sharing your journey with your baby with us. helpful to all of us. thank you for the prayers for my Macie Mae baby girl. she is on blood pressure pills and budesonide for her tummy. it is helping the tummy , and she is not puking or screaming like she did. powering thru. every day a gift.

Macie Mae update 4/23/25: I just got back with Macie Mae for her follow up appointment. she has been CKD since 2020 and it's stage 3 .

dx'd IBD/lymphoma recently as well as high blood pressure. vet increased blood pressure med , amlodipine, from 1/4 to 1/2 tablet 1x a day last check up. She has been budesonide for her IBD/lymphoma.

** Today, good news, her blood pressure is now steady in normal range down from a high bp of 204. yah for that, I will take it. :)
not so good news, she lost 2 ounces and is down to 6.6 lbs :( . (she has always been lean around 8 lbs since I adopted her at 2 yrs old).

she is turning 14 in 2 weeks. vet said the weight loss is from her health conditions.
I told my vet I know "it is what it is" and know I have done my best at the end of the day. Quality vs. Quantity .

she was a very good girl at the vet, and yes, she was the most talkative one in the waiting room in her crate. lady turned around and said oh my and look at those spots. she was great with the vet and techs during her blood pressure testing.

she is still an active, eats good wet and dry food, talkative momma's girl. and loves Gunnar and Boo besties, she thinks she is dog. she has no interest in the nakids or Raven

she has no idea what reports say. powering on with love and care.

I’m so happy to hear about normal blood pressure range and share your worried / sad feelings about the weight drop.
I’m proud of her for being a good girl at the vet - I can’t imagine and always want to know what they must be thinking!
I love to hear she is active, eating and talking.
So funny that she thinks she is a dog. That must make her a dog!!

The BP is a major thing. Good to see it better. I’ve been looking at a nutritionist because I fear Biscuit, 15, is losing weight — i may get info…

Like you always tell me to take the small wins!! What a good girl, glad she was well behaved for the vet. Extra treats definitely needed for her. continued prayers and healing vibes heading your way.

You are giving her the best life. Glad her blood pressure is stable. Looking forward to her birthday announcement so we can all celebrate.

@Toa and Ross , she is being my warrior princess. Her refills of meds csme. I hsve to pish up pilling time so she stills eats .she always eats with the pups but was getting nervous i would scoop jer up to pill. So adjusting. Poor baby girl in goo spirits but worried she lost weight on her follow up
Powrering on together. She is my baby girl
