Prayers for my mom

I had a holiday dinner with my mom watching the Xmas festivities event we go to for the past 10 yrs
Everything was fine until suddenly she has had stroke like symptoms
in a hospital room now awaiting tests results
( had a brain aneurysm yrs ago during Xmas ) :(

Please send thoughts and prayers

Thanks so much everyone -it helps as I sit two straight days/ nights in ER unit ... Waiting for test results one after the other. Exhausted and staying positive
Mom Did have two TIA mini strokes - we are night two in hospital and numerous tests
Will learn more tomorrow -
Keep all paws crossed pleeease

I'm continuing to keep you in my prayers that your mom pulls through completely. Please try to take care of yourself during this exhausting time. HUGS

Thank you for all the prayers thoughts and paws crossed for my mom.
They worked! The power of the lair!

Got my mom home last night - diagnosed with TIA mini stroke and blessed the clot passed and did not go to a full blown stroke- cherishing each day a gift -
(TIA s can be a precursor to full blown stroke)
Spent the day with the follow up politics of insurance , follow up specialist appoints etc- exhausting -
glad to be able to be my moms advocate

Please keep continued good vibes ! Thank you to each and every thought and prayer

Oh, I just saw this. I'm so sorry that happened....how scary :( . I'm glad it didn't turn into something worse. I will be praying she comes out of this stronger and does not suffer from something like that ever again.

My mom had a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage over Christmas 1999 - I slept in ICU with in NYC the millennium -
So this was very very scary - I prayed it was not a déjàvu repeat-
Not out of the woods with some other things we have to follow up on-
You would look at my mom and never know there was anything wrong - very young looking , active -
Just never know what's going on in the inside - I urge everyone to be aware of the signs of TIA
Mini strokes - they can last as little as 5 minutes to an hour and then pass like nothing happened

That is good information to put out there. Stuff like that does not discriminate.

It is also kind of an eye opener for all of us to make sure we take care of our loved ones and make sure they know we love them because you never know when it might be the last time you will get to express those feelings. I am just glad you were actually with her when that happened. I will keep your mother in my prayers and I hope you two will be able to have a great Christmas this year.
