Prayers for Peace for ^Yoda cat"'s rottie friend :(

Please pray for peace for ^Yoda Cat"'s rottie Duke. He is 11 years old. I lost Deuce and Yoda this past valentines weekend.. Today Yoda cats rottie friend she purred with and headed butted in the morning is in pain and preparing to get his wings.. I spoke to my vet this morning and we are making him comfortable from his cancer pain preparing him for his journey... My heart is wrenching with pain ..

I see it in Marma Duke's eyes and feel it in my gut wrenching heart.

^Yoda Cat^ angel is calling Duke's name..
I can't believe I am losing 3 of my babies in less than a month.. My heart is breaking deeper and deeper..

Ohh no this is terrible news, i cant bare to imagine the pain you are feeling right now, prayers hugs & lots of love sent from us :( xxxxxx

I cancelled Dukes journey to the bridge to give him one more day because after giving him a strooong pain pill he slept thou the night. I woke up to him nudging my arm and slobber kisses to go outside! What is going on? He was totally yelping in pain before and was lifeless.. His eyes glazed and body in pain..

I talked to Jimmy who was feeling sick from the pizza.. Then,, it hit me.. Duke also had some pizza. I called my vet and told her he bounced back like a new dog the day he was scheduled for his journey..

*****Apparently to our surprise we figured out he had toxicity to the pizza/dough.**

**. It gives them alcohol poisoning that has killed dogs .*** I read up on it after talking to my vet.. The dough swells and causes severe abdominal pain and they can get bloat etc.. No wonder he yelped all night.. He is old and has osteo and it first just made sense it had rapidly spread throughout his body to his spleen..

Duke survived thank God to answered prayers.. He is back to his ole gimpy self.. He got up in the morning, ate and played shaking his jolly ball! He even went for very very short country walk.. He has whole new brightness in his eyes!

***A valuable lesson learned for us .. I wanted to spread the information we learned about dough/pizza toxicity.. Apparently is it is 3rd on the toxicity list from what I read. I never knew..

Since 1987 my furkids had a nibble of our pizza without a problem. Until now ..and it nearly made me give him his wings.. Horrifying.. This was a brand we never had and it made Jimmy feel sick too..

I thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.. They were answered in a most bizarre way I would have never thought of..

Duke is back! We are still dealing with his osteo and give him microlactin and zeel 2x day. Studies show microlactin has been as effective as rimadyl and safer. I order it from swanson vitamins..

We are enjoying each sunrise as a gift....one day at a time
