We're off to the vet. Gizzard has been throwing up a lot. He can't seem to keep even one little piece of food down. And when we've cleaned it up we noticed it was pink, so we're afraid there's a bit of blood involved. He's been acting okay, (though he hasn't had a desire to clean everyone's plate) and he doesn't feel like he's running a fever. He's been desperate for breakfast, but I'm not letting him eat since I don't know if the vet will want to sedate him.

Earlier report was that they gave him a shot for nausea and he's not tender upon abdominal palpitation. He has a slight fever, but may be from stress, and he seems to be well hydrated. They drew some blood and at the moment we're still waiting for blood results. Hoping to hear something soon.

Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Still no real answers. Blood work came back normal - which is good. Vet thinks maybe the blood was from broken capillaries from vomiting a lot. He's home now and supposed to have small meals - hoping the nausea shot works and the vomiting stops.

So far no vomiting last night or this morning, but that nausea shot should be wearing off around noon. Fingers crossed that was enough to get him over this.

However, Toothy decided that since Giz wasn't providing opportunity for clean up duty, he'd give us some and promptly threw up his breakfast. Now keeping an eye on him hoping it was just a one time thing and not an illness being passed around.

Gosh, I sure hope it isn't something going to hit them all. Praying, His
and Toothy, is alright. Izmae loves her some Giz

Well, Giz is fine now, but Toothy has definitely picked up where he left off. Fortunately there doesn't seem to be blood in his though. I certainly hope this doesn't spread through all 6 cats. :wtf:
