my poor little baby is not well.

last week i came down in the morning and picked up Purrsephonie to give her a big hug but i noticed my hand felt wet.there was green goo all over my hand. i turned her over and saw that a hole had apeared next to the scar where she had her spey done. it was ooozing out puss and looked so sore. i phoned the vet and arranged to go and see him ASAP i also phoned the breeder to let her know who then met me at the vets. we found out that Purrsephonie has had an allergic reaction to the disolvable stitches used for her spey and this has caused an infection. i was so gutted i didnt even now she was ill. she showed no signs at all of being un well. she was still eating and playing and just her normal self.
the vet told me she had a high temp and that the infection had caused a cist which made its way to the surface of the skin and had burst to release all the infection. he said it was good that this had happened and not just stayed un noticed. he gave her an antibiotic injection and sent us home .he also said he could not believe how high spirited she was and not off he food he said in most cases they would have been depressed and off food and very spleepy but she was fine and didnt stop running round the house like a loon. bless her
i have to bath her every night to keep the hole open so that the infection can come out. we are off back to the vets next Monday so that the vet can make sure she is making some inprovement but if not she will need surgery. ='0(
when she had her spey it all went well untill the second day of recovery when she had pulled out her stitches including the inner ones so she had to go back to have the whole opp re done and now she has an infection bless her she is not doing so well with her spey.
the breeder has been fab she has paid for all her apponitments and anything Purrsephonie will need to recover. the vet said this is a rare case but it does happen at no ones fault its just sods law it had happen to my baby.

so far she is doing well i'm just keeping my fingers crossed she gets over all this without having to have surgery. and i am so greatful to my breeder for being there with me every step of the way she truly is amazing nad love all her abaies more than anything. she said she will make sure Purrsephonie gets better before leaving us to it and has appologised so many times that this happened even though its not her fault at all. she's fab.

keep everything crossed for my baby please i really dont want her to have another opp. xxxxxxxxxx

i'm really really pleased to be able to tell everyone that Purrsephonie is completely in the clear. her infection has gone and the area in which the infection had come to surface has completely healled all the lumpy tissue has gone and now she has a nice smooth pot belly bless her she is a little star. she has a few mor scars than he should have but it is fine ow and i am so relieved i was so so scared that something bad was going to happen but now everything is fine and i can now get back to enjoying being a new sphynx mommy to both of my girls.
thanks everyone for all your support xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
