Question about a forum rule

There is one rule I have been wondering about. It actually kept m from joining for awhile. Maybe I am just misunderstanding. The rules state that being an administrator or mod on another like forum is reason to be banned. Is this true? I frequent many forums and have never come across this.

I didn't know that was a rule, but if so I can see why. Even in my business we cannot hire someone who works for a competitor who sells a like product it can be a conflict of interest. Being that this is not necessarily what some view as a traditional business, it technically is in a way. I saw on here just a couple of years ago there were competitive, ill spirited people. I think an admin and moderators have to be able to make decisions that make this a forum safer and more enjoyable place for us to come and share. I have never felt there were too many restrictions here...it has been a guarded environment yes that admin and moderators have developed to be healthy for us to enjoy and keep The Lair a place where it is about the best for our animals and not selfish reasons about people. Accomplishing that task alone through admin and moderators deserves kudos if you ask me. Not having safe rules makes it easy for a forum to become negative...better to know the rules ahead of time than to be bumped and take it personally I think.

The rule was created and meant for administrators and moderators of specifically another sphynx forum. Not someone who is a "member" of another sphynx forum or any forum for that matter - I hope that answers your question.
