Cats are self moisturizing as in they produce their own oil. :)
For furry cats it'd be distributed in their coat however with our naked ones it stays on their skin.

Whether shea butter is toxic to cats or not I don't know. Most people stick to coconut oil if they do apply anything.

Personally, I don't apply moisturizer as any excess oil is just attracting more dirt that sticks to the skin.

Great advice given. We have seen too many people try to moisturize especially with coconut oil lately and it has totally unbalanced their skin and caused bigger issues not to mention it almost attracts more dirt to the skin. I never moisturize. Not bathing too often is key so the skin is not stripped of its natural oils which should be plenty of of moisture to keep their skin supple.

Can I use shea butter on my cats skin ?
If you are dead set on moisturizing, it is better to focus on the diet and make sure there are enough good healthy fats there. That way kitty has the building blocks to make their own healthy oils.
