I want to get sweater's or something warm for my cat's during winter, I have tried 5 different shirt's and sweater's on them both. They always walk with their stomach almost touching the ground with everything I have tried on them. Does anyone know why? Or how I can get something that fit's them better so they enjoy the warmth from clothes?

Lol some of them do that until they get used to it. I’ve noticed it’s worse with loose fitting clothing. Try going for stretchy but form fitting clothes. Spandex or Lycra are good choices but there are some Jersey cottons that work well too.

Also I can’t recommend enough getting a heated bed. K&H brand is trustworthy and long lasting in my opinion.

You don’t have to get them from Amazon. They are sold other places too just check their website.

How many cats do you have?

I have 2 cat's, I am custom building everything in my room, I made a floating bed that sit's over my vent (I will redirect the heat back into my room, I was thinking about building a cat house behind the vent so they can get more heat at night and I was thinking about adding a heated bed for them)

Is there a way to measure my cat's to make sure I get fitted clothing? Idk how easy it will be as my ca'ts are always so excited and happy their bouncing off the walls lmao, We call them the naked ninja's :0

I dress all 3 of mine and no matter what, my boy Finn will army crawl like what you described in a shirt. Belly low to the ground for some reason. I've clothed him since a kitten so not sure why, but it doesn't get him out of wearing them :0

Yes there are plenty of creators who will happily custom make clothes to size. A couple come to mind I will pm you.

My kitty will not wear clothing. I gave up and just make sure there are lots of blankets everywhere for her to crawl under. I was also afraid of her getting caught on things and hanging herself or getting injured by getting it caught on something.

I honestly never thought about the getting caught and injuring them self's part of clothing....

It’s not a big deal as long as you are there. The rule is to NEVER have clothing on them if they are unobservable.

Hmm.. I was hoping I could get them clothes to wear 24/7 because I'm working 12-14 hour day's and someone I live with keep's turning off the heater while im at work. I'm buying a lock today for my furnace thermostat/control. What temperature is good for sphyx's?

As long as you have plenty of blankets around, they will be fine. Ours just pile in and sleep all day.

I keep mine at 68-72 in the winter and blankets were enough.

We dressed Blue since he was tiny so he doesnt have an issue with clothes now. However, his harness made him freeze up and not want to walk- we had to figure out the best way to velcro it so it wasnt too tight. I would suggest looking at sphynxswag!! they have clothes specifically for sphynx and its a special design so the cat's arms and chest are exposed. I think that might contribute to cats feeling funny with walking with clothes. And it's true if theyre cold they will find warmth!! :) Amazon has hot pocket looking cozy puches for them to crawl into and curl up in.

I have also started making clothing for my baby now as I can custom make them to fit As he grows.
To check for size concentrate on three main areas the length as most never cover the whole back of the body.
The width in between the front legs on the breast as you do not want to much fabric there near the neck area. It can also get wet when they drink making them even colder.
The width over the back they need it loose enough to jump and not hinder their movements.
I personally find the raglan sleeve more comfortable for them. (The sleeve that is right up to the neck band. The grey and red jacket) Not the set in sleeve it does affect their agility very slightly. My little one appears much more happier in the raglan sleeve design.

I hope this helps

The best thing I have found for clothing for my Sphinx is my socks. I cut it off at the heel, measure down from the cuff, cut holes for arms, and about 1/4 from the bottom, I cut leg holes. Bada bing bada boom! Worked great for my little girl Wensdae, haven’t tried it for Khal Drogo yet. He will need a bigger sock. I have a sewing machine, and material, I tried making clothes for them..... but well, I SUCK! I can’t sew! Who knew? I tried and tried and ended up a sobbing mess. I hurled myself in bed and declared we had to sell the cats because I can’t sew and they will freeze to death. Than I thought of the socks...... good luck. Blessed be

wow your baby is MUST look so cute in them. I was told by the vet my little man is over weight. So he may fit into socks when he gets a little thinner but at 6 months old I have no high hopes he will ever get into one.
I too had the same problem when I started sewing so I cheated I bought the style of clothing he likes. Cut it up and made pattern pieces of the parts. I just make new pattern pieces as he grows. Which seems to be monthly.
I do love your sock idea

Some people also use the sleeves off of long sleeve shirts and just cut holes for the legs. You can get shirts cheap at thrift and it’s no sacrifice to cut them up.

She is Awesome, absolutely purrrrfect. IV attached a pic of her in her blue “sweater” actually a “PINK” sock. My daughter pointed out that she is in designer clothes. Lol
