Has anyone tried it, and if so how did your kids do on it? What one did you try? I'm looking into possibly trying it since it's premade and has everything already mixed in for a complete diet. Thanks in advance!!
I've come across the brand but I haven't used it. I think there was someone here on the lair that did so hopefully they will chime in and let you know. I use the bravo balance. It's a complete diet as well. So many out there it can be hard to choose!
It sounded good, that's why I'm looking into everything in advance lol. I was actually looking into trying bravo balance on my furries since I'm switching my boy cat to it before I move since the naked will be living with him too.
I haven't tried radcat but being in California you could also look into smallbatch. I had to choose between rad cat and smallbatch and chose smallbatch sliders because it worked out to be much cheaper and easier to portion/feed. The ingredients were pretty similar and my cats took to them well. One of them doesn't like the turkey.
After smallbatch I have moved onto trying some freeze dried raw brands as the cats just seemed to like them a lot more, and it doesn't take up freezer space.
Just to let you know I tried Rad Cat the other day in lamb. He seems to love it, though I am not sure how long term it will be as it's pricy. My only issue is that it is hard to portion up as it's all smooshed in one big tub.
Portioning can be tricking. I bought a kitchen scale and use a measuring cup. I have the portions pretty consistent now so I'm not over or under feeding. And I know how much I need to buy!
Same here with the portions. I got a kitchen scale, use a big spoon, and it's no issue. My boys eat 8 ounces (combined) at every meal, so two of the large 24oz containers = 7 meals.
I love the Rad Cat brand, well i should say my kitty loves it Its just meat and supplements... none of those veggies or clay to form it. I found only one shop that carries it by me and its a bit of a drive but worth it. When i ran out of it last week i tried to feed some of the other raw brand that he always ate before and the difference in the smell was huge I never noticed with natures variety and primal raw that it doesn't smell like meat or look anything like meat. My cat used to eat it all the time but after going to Rad Cat he would not go back. He wouldn't touch the natures variety raw. I had to run out at 7pm and go get some chicken thighs/legs at the grocery store and cut them up until i could get to the pet food store the next day.
My little man loves the turkey and chicken but didn't really care for the lamb. I am going to start making my own cat food after the holidays because rad cat is just too expensive to feed all three of my cats an all raw diet. I think I'm always going to have some in the freezer though just in case.
Customer service was great too. Really great product and couldn't recommend it more.
