Today especially, I am remembering the love soo much love of my sweet Baby Sam. The kindest gentlest soul. An incredible journey of eternal love.
I have never had another rottie since that heartfelt day, though I have been offered.
I look at his photos, his collar and treasure every mile on the journey I would not have missed for anything in this world.
I can now understand the quote" don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened"- Dr Seuss... the incredible bond of love happened.
Thank you lair family for the love, care and support on the journey with my nakids and my furbabies.
Sweet Sam was a true warrior ( epileptic, bladder cancer, degenerative myelopathy). He even made the cover of the TCC warrior book.
Through it all, he stoically powered on with his sweet smile to be my my side . The lasts night on this earth we shared a celebration of life together with a bbq ribeye, toasted marshmallows and cuddles to the moon and back.
I had to be his voice when he needed it most not to make his last day his worst day. Run free with your brother Bubba Bear and the others carefree and whole knowing there is not a day I don't think of you , especially when I sit quietly outback by our favorite place at the pond.
