Am I ok not to feed Lucy raw bones until she is older? She is eating her Better in the raw with very lean turkey breast meat. When should I start with adding bones in?

I give Frank chicken drumletts and chicken necks as a treat. Luci isn't interested in them. With the BitR you don't need to give them bones, but as a snack it won't hurt them

BITR does not actually contain ground bone, but the ingredients in it, I believe, are supposed to replicate the nutrition of having ground bone. BITR is a complete diet, but having chicken wings or such as treats I'm sure wont hurt!

Ingredients: Egg yolk, calcium lactate, liver powder, gelatin, whey protein concentrate, psyllium husks, EFA from fish, taurine, kelp, barley grass powder, Vitamin B complex, Vitamin E succinate.

Rebecca,
Do you know if I should start now with her being a kitten?

Dont see how it could hurt - maybe just watch closely to make sure there is no choking as she "figures it out".

I only do the ground turkey so mabey I will cut up boneless chicken breast so she can get the chewing down, then do chicken with bone.....
