All,
Im looking for guidance on how much food to give daily.
We have a 2 year old male elf/sphynx. He is lean and weighs in at 10.5 pounds. We feed all raw, Darwins natural pet foods. He has always been on a raw diet.
There are a few problems. It seems that he is always starving. We feed him 3 times a day. While I dont measure the raw food, it seems like a big portion. He wolfs down his food. He begs at the dinner table. We do give snacks on occasion. He jumps on kitchen counter tops to eat human food. He licks plates and drinks milk out of cups in the sink. He will even steal food off your dinner plate. We have our Sphinx cats crate trained. They go into their crates at night which have their beds, blankets and heating pads. We have noticed lately that he has vomited in his crate a few times, and its a yellow color vomit. Some people say that these cats will vomit yellow when they are very hungry.
I feel like we are giving him enough food, but perhaps we aren't. His being starving all the time would explain all this behavior... or maybe he is just greedy.
