Oooooh this is the post I was looking for!! Yet... I still feel confused as to what is best for Triton. He's 13 wks old and came to us eating Royal Canin kibble for 0-4 months. I've read so many great things about feeding raw so I'm trying to transition him. I've already ordered a grinder and will be shopping for meat and supplements soon. I have so many questions so I'll list them:
1. While I'm doing the raw diet, is it ok to have kibble available all the time? We're at work for a large portion of the day and wouldn't want him to go hungry.
2. Is Royal Canin ok to use as dry food? Or is there a better dry kibble out there?
3. How bad is it to buy meats from Wal-mart or Penn Dutch (commercial meats)? I've read conflicting posts about it.
4. How much of the raw food should he be eating? Now as a kitten and later as an adult? Or is this something I play by ear??
