So I'm in the waiting for our kitten stages and am looking into different recipes for raw feeding. I see alot of chicken and beef recipes but wondered what works best for you guys and also some different flavours I can make for them. I'm not vegetarian vegan or anything and am willing to give most items a try.
the one my husband isn't enjoying the idea of is fish but oh well he will suck it up as our furless kitty needs the oils im so excited and am doing as much research as I can.
with a butchers just around the corner I can get pretty much anything I need my also convert my fluffy kitty's onto a raw feed too thanks in advance guys I look forward to the ideas I get from you all

Yes that really is a great link.

I buy my raw already ground with the right proportions of meat, organ, and bone. Then I add fish oils and a supplement.

@Shmeeps I buy from Hare Today and Raw Feeding Miami. They're both excellent. I see you're in Florida so depending on where exactly you might be able to pick up at Raw Feeding Miami and save the shipping. But Hare Today has a better price on rabbit even with the shipping.

If you want another option that has bone, I just posted the chicken & turkey recipe I use in this thread:
Laulau may have IBD and has a slight heart murmur!!!

I kept it simple so I left out fish. Once you know your cat accepts the food, you can add fish. Kittens are easier so maybe you can start with fish from the beginning. Small fish like herring or sardines is best. I cut off the tails because sometimes they have sharp points but the whole fish guts and all is edible. Run it through a food chopper for a few seconds to grind it down. I add 1.25 ounces of ground herring per pound of ground meat.

I think everybody has a chicken recipe because it's the easiest thing to find. If you're grinding at home you have to use either chicken or rabbit because those have small bones that you can put through a home grinder. Beef is not normal cat diet and some cats are allergic to it so proceed with caution.

It's best to start with one protein source, and if your cat is fine on that for a couple of weeks, add another one. That way if there's a problem you're not having to guess which thing caused it.
