Requesting Prayers for Olive - 6yo with abdominal Mass found

Hi everyone, I am completely overwhelmed and terrified right now and could use any advice, success stories, or prayers you can send.

My 6-year-old Sphynx girl, Olive, has been a bit off for a couple of months. It started with her play drive completely stopping. Then she started peeing in the bathtub (suspected lower abdominal pressure/urgency), followed by noticeable constipation.

This week she spiked a 104°F fever and her appetite totally decreased and she started drinking A LOT of water. We rushed her to the vet, and her X-rays revealed a large, amorphous mid-ventral abdominal mass with some central mineralization. The radiologist listed neoplasia as a primary suspect but noted she has decreased serosal detail (possible peritonitis or fluid).

Olive has a 2-year history of a chronic, off-and-on, non-itchy speckled skin rash that recently got worse at the exact same time she stopped playing. Her bloodwork showed acute inflammation (mild neutrophilia, low albumin) but her kidneys (Creatinine/SDMA) are completely pristine and normal. Her fever thankfully came down to 102°F after sub-Q fluids.

We are currently fasting her for an outpatient ultrasound today.

Because she is only 6 and has this long skin history, I am praying this might be a severe, non-cancerous inflammatory or immune issue rather than a malignancy.

Has anyone faced an abdominal mass like this with a younger Sphynx and had a positive outcome? I am physically sick with heartbreak and worry. Please send Olive all your good vibes today. ❤️

I dont have experience with sphynx adbominal masses, however, remember Olive has no idea what reports say and only knows your love. prayers for positive updates. we are here for you team Olive. all paws are family. (sharing for a positive my rottie was told a mass on films. turns out it was not at all after sent to specialist).

I apologize. I missed this. My 16 year old Biscuit had abdominal growths. There were more than one and they were termed ‘nodules.’ At that time we were told that they would be able to treat her more definitively if she had a single site to investigate. That is what I think I am hearing you say Olive has. I hope you have better information now. I send deep Lair prayers and hope that they have figured out a strategy for Olive. Good numbers are an enormous plus that an elderly cat does not bring to the table. Hoping to hear that Olive’s condition has been diagnosed and treatment, if necessary, has begun.
