Rest in Peace Sweet Candy Cane.

This morning my sweet little Candy Cane crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I loved her so very much and I have been crying my eyes out all day. My precious baby girl has struggled her entire life and she just finally had enough. She let us know she was tired and ready to give up her fight, so I gave her the only gift left to give her. She passed peacefully and painlessly from this life, where she will never again be sick, never struggle to breathe. Run free, my love. I know I'll see you again. Thank you for working so hard to live with me, thank you for bringing me close to some life long friends, and thank you for the blessings and joy you have given me. I am sorry I haven't been home with you. I wish I could've held you one more time or listened to you purring on my lap just once more. I hope you knew how loved you were. We traveled a long, difficult road together, Candy. But I don't regret being your mama lady for one second.
Carry my love with you, Cane....because love is everything.

Our friendship developed over discussions on how you willed her to live when she was struggling when she was a wee baby battling pancreatitis. Thank you all so much for your kind words. Julie, I think Candy was five, but all her records are at home, so I'm not sure. I only know I will miss her. She held a special place in my heart.
