RIP Gryffindor

Thanks all. We just received the urn in the mail today. His ashes will be back with us in another week or so. We'll inevitably be upset when that happens, but the bittersweet thing will be that he'll be back in our home.

I am profoundly sad to hear of Gryff's passing. I know how huge the hole in your life is....and that nothing really helps. There just are no words, no magic potions to ease the pain. The only positive thing we can hold onto is the fact that there is no more pain or struggling to breathe for your sweet boy. I pray he is in Heaven now with the angels and that when it is your time to leave this Earth, that he will be there to welcome you home. I believe he will be. I also believe that love doesn't die...he carried it with him and he still feels it. He knew he was loved, and love is everything.

Today has been tough...We received his urn in the mail, which adds another degree of finality to it all...We ordered this one, because we thought it sort of looked like him when he sat still, lurking and staring at us...

Well today was the day that Gryff came home. I had him ride shotgun all the way and reunited him with his brothers. I'm not going to open the bag until my wife comes home from work. We'll place him in his urn later on tonight. It's been an emotional enough day already. Tonight should prove even more so.
