RIP... Sweet Yodi Dodi

yoda passed away comfortably in my arms. My heart is broken. The hole will never be filled. She will never be forgotten. She will live forever in my heart and in my memories. She was so sweet. She slept in my arms every night, loved to be carried like a baby and made the cutest fluttering noise. She was my little shadow. Yoda was my 1st sphynx. She is loved so much.



Yoda suffered a massive heart attack. The vets at UT Vet hospital got her stabilized but there was nothing they could do for my little angel. The technology just isn't there. So much research is done for dogs over cats. She was in extreme pain and was given methadone to make her more comfortable, she was paralyzed from the waist down. Before I went back to see her, they told me she was pretty medicated and may not recognize me. When she saw me, she started crying and drug herself to the opening to the oxygen cage. They gave her plenty of methadone and I was able to hold her and let her know how much I loved her. I spent some time holding and then, held her while she peacefully passed in my arms. I've been truly blessed to have had her, in my life. My dear sweet Yoda

Jo, my sweet, loving friend, Yoda had a wonderful life, full of love. What a lucky girl she was! And she will always be your first sphynx--the little girl who stole your heart and introduced you to the world of being owned by a sphynx. Oh @susi794, you always have just the right words. We are all so blessed to have you in our lives.

What a wonderful thing to say. It's 100 percent true. If I hadn't got Yoda, I would have never known Sphynxlair. Because of her, I now know some of the greatest people on earth. She was my ambassador to sphynxies and to all Lair members. She showed me so much love. I just want the crying to stop. I miss her so much. The bed at night, feels so empty.
