Hi everyone,

I joined a while back but haven't posted in ages. I was getting a Sphynx kitten when one of my furkids had some health issues that left us wondering if we'd be facing a surgical recovery with one kid just as another was about to arrive. It broke my heart, but I had to postpone my Sphynx kitten. The breeder was really wonderful about the whole situation and really showed a lot of kindness.

The good news is that we seem to have my other furkid's issues managed (knock-wood). So, when new kittens were available, I asked and well...I'll be getting a seal mink in about another month. I haven't named the little nudie yet and have a very short list of ideas. Pics are in my avatar and signature.

PS I guess someone here knows me or knows of me via members of a different breed board. I discovered this when a member on the other board practically announced my first Sphynx kitten, which was information I hadn't shared there. It was a little strange, to say the least and for a while I didn't feel like posting in either forum. It sort of creeped me out. If you're out there, feel free to introduce yourself and say hello! :) I don't bite. Oh, and I already told them about this kitten although I'm not very active there anymore! :LOL:

Hi Susan and welcome back:ThumbsUp: Great story and the decision to wait while your other kitty recovered was a good one! Can't wait to hear all about our new baby.

Thanks everyone for the welcome back!

I'm pretty excited about the new baby and looking forward to meeting her. She has NO NAME. I have a few ideas, but nothing just clicks. There is one name my Mom mentioned that I keep coming back to. That might be the one.

The situation I had was actually with a Persian forum, not a Sphynx forum. That's why it was sort of strange. I guess somebody over there knows somebody over here and that's how the info got passed along and posted. As I said, over it and ready to TALK NAKED! :ThumbsUp:

You should join that list anyway! I'd say 10 years ago, I researched Bengals and participated on their lists just to learn. I actually went a little further back and decided that the Egyptian Mau was more my speed and adopted sisters 9 years ago. I also have Exotic Shorthair sisters who will be a year old around Easter, which is why I'm on some of the Persian lists because Zots still outcross to Persians so there's some cross over in ownership.

Most breed communities are ALL for education, so I don't think you have anything to be afraid of! I say go ahead and join!

I am on a Peterbald List and a Rex list.
I always wanted a Peterbald or Cornish Rex.
I know a few Mau breeders.
Maybe I will join some of the Bengal lists.
I also am on a Russian Blue list but the site is terrible now.
It is porn.
