See You On The Other Side

Well, today we lost our oldest Great Dane, Zoe. We've had a great 9 years with her, she was my husbands dog before we even met, and she traveled around the US with him whenever he was reassigned with the Marine Corp. She was there on our first date, sniffing my hair, checking me out, making sure I was "fit" for "her man". lol. Our journey didnt stop with her, and we added Daisy after we were married, and were lucky enough to add Clementine just this past November. We had our 3 peas in a pod, and new the past few months were special. December brought some changes with Zoe being diagnosed with a heart disease (DCM), and new it was only a matter of time.

We've been up since 1am with her having seizures. Luckily the vet could come out for a house call at 9:30am and help us see Zoe through to the other side. We havent had the muster to tell family yet, but I just had to get it off my chest with fellow animal lovers - knowing that we've all been there at some point.
