Did you do it because of migraine headaches?
If so, has it worked?

I did and it does! I have had migraines since I was a teen and since getting the Daith in November 2015 I have not had a single migraine! My oldest cousin suffered the same and she got hers done about 3 months ago and has been migraine free since as well.

of having this done. I have suffered with Migraines since 12 years old.
Every year, they, get much worse. I know they use a needle.

It really does depend on the individual if it will work or not. My other cousin got it done and it did not work for her. So in our situation 2 of 3 that got it done it has worked for. They do use a needle and I would be sure to ask the piercer if they are experienced in doing this piercing. The goal is to get the piercing through the pressure point in that part of the ear, which is what is supposed to help with the migraines. It is kind of a long term acupuncture deal. Some piercers may have lidocaine or some similar topical numbing but being honest it is going to hurt either way because it is going through a thick piece of cartilage and pressure point. It is not horrible, I have a very high pain tolerance but it was over pretty quick. If you do get it done I would also recommend getting jewelry that is not a hoop, something like a bar would be better. The hoops spin and makes healing take a lot longer, which is what mine has done. It will take up to 12 months to fully heal. Let me know if you have any other questions and I would be more than happy to try and help! I know how debilitating migraines are and even after 8 months of having my piercing I am still in disbelief that I finally have relief.

I was born with migraine headaches. I've always had a constant migraine that would blow into a really bad one 2-8 times per month. I was the poster child for experimentation here.

A few years ago I tried botox for migraines and it eliminated my daily constant migraine. I now get anywhere from 0-3 full blown migraines per month. So much better.

Botox doesn't work for everyone, but it's worth a try... like the piercing. Just thought I'd mention.

from where I live does it. But, they, are probably more, I, haven't
checked, that much.
That's what I'm afraid of, it won't help after going through it.

I heard people say, they, can't sleep, on their sides, for a little while.
How long before, you start getting, relief? From the soreness, hurting?

Mine was sore for a few days. It takes up to 12 months but for some it can take as little as 3-6 months. I have been able to sleep on my side and it usually does not bother me. I just have to be mindful of not touching it. I actually had a migraine starting the day I got it and as soon as I was pierced and my adrenaline calmed it was gone, and not one since. The soreness will go away within a few weeks if you are diligent with not touching it and the after care that your piercer recommends. Mine said to soak it in a warm salt water mix twice a day for 10-15 min. I have honestly been really lax on doing that as time has gone by, but most of my issues stem from having the hoop, and it is also a bit smaller hoop than I needed. My pain and discomfort is very minimal considering that I do not have migraines any more.

Yes I would have them change my piercing. I am actually thinking about going in and getting a bar so it can finish healing. I do the same for my nostril piercing as well, I just feel better with them doing it. With the daith it is much easier to have someone else do it.
I take a cotton cosmetic pad (round) and soak it with that. It is more compressed than a cotton ball (less likely to leave pieces of cotton behind) and folded in half it fits well on both sides of the piercing. My piercer gave me a baggie of sea salt that included the ratio of salt to water, basically making a saline solution. They said I could also purchase a premixed saline solution if I wanted.
